What this policy covers
This policy covers the GoodOff website at goodoff.co and the GoodOff web app at app.goodoff.co. GoodOff is a product of Nexobe, Inc.
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. We also use similar technologies: local storage in your browser, and small network requests (beacons) that report how a page performed. In this policy, "cookies" covers all of them.
Some cookies hold identifiers, such as a random ID that recognizes your browser on your next visit, or your GoodOff account ID once you sign in. These identifiers can relate to you, so we treat them as personal data. Our privacy policy at https://goodoff.co/privacy explains how we handle it.
How to change your choice
- On goodoff.co: choose Accept, Reject or Customize in the cookie banner. To change your choice later, select Cookie preferences at the bottom of any page.
- In the GoodOff web app: go to Settings → Account & privacy → Cookie preferences.
- In the GoodOff mobile apps: analytics runs only after you allow it, and you can turn it off again in the app's analytics settings.
- Rejecting is as easy as accepting. You can withdraw consent at any time; from then on we stop analytics. Withdrawing doesn't affect what was collected before.
- If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a rejection of analytics and marketing cookies, whatever you chose before.
- Your choice is saved separately on goodoff.co and app.goodoff.co, and in each browser you use. If you clear your browser storage, we ask again.
- You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, signing in and payments may not work.
Categories
- Strictly necessary: needed for security, signing in and remembering your choices. They are always on and don't need consent.
- Analytics: help us understand how people use GoodOff so we can improve it. They stay off until you select Accept, or turn analytics on under Customize.
- Payment: set by Stripe only when you open a payment page, to prevent fraud. They are needed to take a payment safely.
- We don't use advertising cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
Loaded without consent, without cookies
These run without asking first. None of them sets a cookie on our domains or stores anything in your browser.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics: a cookieless beacon that counts page views and measures load times. It doesn't follow you across sites.
- Performance beacon: anonymous page-speed measurements (Core Web Vitals) sent to GoodOff's own server. It carries no account ID and no cookie.
- Google Sign-In: the web app loads Google's sign-in script from accounts.google.com so the Sign in with Google button works. As with any request to Google, Google receives your IP address and browser details. If you use the button, Google may set its own cookies on google.com under Google's privacy policy.
When you accept analytics
- Google Analytics runs with Google Consent Mode set to denied by default. Its script loads and its cookies are set only after you accept.
- Amplitude starts only after you accept. Amplitude session replay is off: we don't record your screen.
- If you withdraw consent, we stop both and delete the Google Analytics cookies on our domain.
- Google and Amplitude process this data in the United States. Our privacy policy explains how we protect international transfers.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the cookies we use change, and revise the "Last updated" date above. If we add a new kind of non-essential cookie, we ask for your consent again.
